Ah, this is new to the Humplex; A contest!
For the 3rd chapter of Keric's Komplex, I thought it would be a nice thing to give back to the yaoi/bara/gay art community :) The chosen elf character design will make a cameo appearance in KK3. Here are the guidelines on how to join!
1. Design ur elf!
2. Upload it to your Deviant Art/ Fur Affinity/ y!Gallery/ Photobucket, and in your description put a linkback to this post ( URL: http://www.humplex.com/2008/04/design-ur-elf-contest.html )
3. Send me a link to your artwork at humbuged @ yahoo . com or you can post it here :)
4. Deadline is on April 25th 2008.
Yes, you can enter as many elves as you want. That's it! :D I'll announce the winner on May 1st 2008, and then when I finish KK3, the chosen elf will make an appearance in the flash game! :D Excited? Hehe, I AM! If you know anyone who might be interested in joining, tell them about it! :D

::sigh:: how come all good contest must require artistic talent? I lack any ability to actually draw but words can paint a picture just as well
kouken, I don't think this is as much of a contest of drawing ability as it is a contest of character design, as in... as long as you have a strong concept for the character, it really doesn't matter if you draw it all wonky. If Humbug likes your idea, he will give it life with his drawing :)

If you have no artistic ability how can you exhibit the idea that you have. I mean your idea can't physically come to fruition.
Like me, I can't draw or color worth crap, but I have great ideas, so I force my friends to create them. It's sad really.

With the contest nearly done, I'm wondering exactly how the judging is going to go, Hum. Are you just gonna pick a favorite by yourself, or are you going to have friends help you decide? Or maybe pick a batch of favorites and have a poll to decide?

I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to thank you for this contest and this post. I looked at every single submission and I think I added about 15 new artists to my various fav lists on FA, Y!, DA, etc. :) Thanks for posting them all so I can get exposed to new artists! :D
