Pride Month 2026 Art Challenge: Comic Crafting Day 2
Comic Crafting Day 2!
Today is all about prepping stuff. Figure out which apps to use, choosing the
comic page measurements, brushing up on the character designs...because since I
always draw Arus naked, he doesn't actually have an outfit! XD
After researching, I'm settling on
Krita. I've only tinkered with
it before, but now it has some built-in comic tools that look nice. I'm messing
around with it as I'm writing this lol :P
I've also been viewing/reading through some comic making resources. I did
Sauna Slumber
ages ago, and I feel like I need to brush up on a LOT of things. Even a short
comic needs a serviceable story!
Speaking of story, here's the outline for my comic:
- Zulf tasks Arus with harvesting a Milknub, a tricky plant that never grows in the same place.
- Arus searches the general area where the plant was last sighted.
- The cheeky monkey finds it, and tries to get the Milknub fruit.
- Complications happen and Arus gets totally milked-out by the plant!
- Fortuitously, the plant leaves behind its fruit after the intense (and pleasurable) ordeal.
- Upon his return, Arus shares his first Milknub experience, which Zulf finds hilarious.
I don't have a sketch just yet, but I'll update this post later with one! XD
