Day 7! The finish line! Aahh! I'm rushing to finish this lol XD But here it is,
page 4! IT'S DONE!!!
Finally get to draw Toraz in the background lol XD Also this is probably the
first time I drew the backs of Zulf's and Toraz's outfits. Well, I didn't
really drew Toraz's clothes lol!
Look how craptastic it is XD But yay, I finished the comic even though it's
suuuuper rough!
I hope you all like the mini story hehe :D
Day 6 already! And here's the page 3 rough storyboard. I was hoping to do page 4
too but that's just wishful thinking lol :P
For panel inspiration, I look at One Piece (Oda Eiichiro), Witch Hat Atelier
(Shirahama Kamome) and Eyeshield 21 (Yusuke Murata)! :D
There are some things that I didn't know how to show. Like the plant
soaking up the semen through its skin. I just hope that panel works XD
Gosh, already Day 5! Here's another rough storyboard, it's for page 2. I was
hoping I'd finish pages 3 and 4 too, but alas, I only managed this one measly
page lol :P
I am wondering how others can churn out nice looking comic pages so fast! XD I
guess having assistants would help a lot haha!
It's Day 4 already! Argh, I am so slow! XD I'm now in Krita doing the
thumbnails. Or at least trying to lol. I got my template page done with the
guides for margins and stuff.
I still don't really know what to draw. I've fleshed out the story more, but I'm
drawing a blank as to how to composition the panels and stuff. Man, making
comics is hard lol :P
I'm winging everything. I saw Hiro Mashima's (Fairy Tail) YouTube vid,
How to Plan and Draw the Manga Storyboard.
I'm hoping this'll help me lol XD
Hopefully I'll be able to add a rough draft image here later. :P

Comic Crafting Day 2!
Today is all about prepping stuff. Figure out which apps to use, choosing the
comic page measurements, character outfit designs... because since I always draw
Arus naked, he doesn't actually have an outfit! XD
After researching, I'm settling on
Krita. I've only tinkered with
it before, but now it has some built-in comic tools that look nice. I'm messing
around with it as I'm writing this lol :P
I've also been viewing/reading through some comic making resources. I did
Sauna Slumber
ages ago, and I feel like I need to brush up on a LOT of things. Even a short
comic needs a serviceable story!
Speaking of story, here's the outline for my comic:
Day 1 of my Comic Crafting project! Hehe, the gist of the story is done. I mean,
it's not going to win any awards or anything lol XD
The premise: Zulf sends Arus to find a plant, and complicated tendril stuff
happens.
Here's an early concept sketch of the plant that's going to be in the comic. I
call it the Milknub plant. It has a five-petal flower and tendrils too. The
plant’s pinkish fruit has a small nub at the tip that secretes nectar. Yes,
fruity nipples lol ;)

I finished my 1 Week PaintBBS Practice art challenge, yay! :D It was a lot of
fun. Gonna take the whole week off to rest. While I think about what
I want to do next :)

Woo, Day 7's sketch is for the back of the torso. I was supposed to focus on the upper parts, but I focused more on the butt lol! XD
Day 6's sketch is about compression and expansion of the torso in a weight-bearing pose. Who likes musky sweat smell? XD
Day 5's sketch is about the torso side profile. Supposedly to show the curvature
of the spine.
As usual I spent a little extra time finishing this guy's big leaking erection lol XD
Day 4's sketch! This time trying out foreshortening the torso. I think I did a decent job :P

Drew a 'twisting' torso. I didn't have much time to spend on this one. :P

For a sketch to practice drawing torsos, I probably spent a lot of time drawing
the hand. Hands are always hard to get right for me. XD

Here's Day 1!
I was cleaning up Humplex.com yesterday. Nothing major, just uploading
images and editing some code. I noticed one of the old posts had a broken image link.
It was a post about the old Tegaki E site. I remember drawing there, a pic of Zulf lifting up
his blue shirt. It's one of my favorite drawings of him.
For hours, I tried to find the file in my backups, but I couldn't find it anywhere! I thought it was lost
forever. So I decided to ask the good people of the internet if anyone had a
copy of it saved.
I even drew a
rough sketch from memory to show how the original drawing looked like (I used jspaint.app lol)
Luckily, someone replied back with the actual, original drawing! ^O^ I was so happy!

I've had a folder opened for Gladiolus since 2018. I set it aside because his body tattoo looks so complicated. I break out in hives just thinking of how to draw it. Even in the sketch, I mangled it already, haha. :P
Does anyone have any good reference photos of how the tattoos wrap under his arms? XD
